This place feels like home. This is the first shop that Kathy Miller has owned, and she has put heart and soul into making it special. She has been designing floral arrangements for decades, and is well known in the local community. There are also gifts, including some clothes. I bought a birthday card made with delicate layers of paper that a local woman has there on consignment. Kathy offers quality flowers at prices made to move. These prices can't last forever.
Can not say enough about this florist. I had them make arrangements for the tables at my wedding celebration. I had collected antique pitcher's for them to use and had them fill them with all types of wild flowers. I knew that I wanted each arrangement to be different and all very colorful. Kathy was very sweet and great to work with and assured me that she new exactly what I was looking for. When they were delivered I was blown away! The most beautiful flower arrangements that I have ever seen. They definitely exceeded my expectations and couldn't have been more thrilled. I highly recommend them and will forever be grateful. We just moved to the area and it was my 15yr anniversary. I searched on google maps for a florist and found Wild Root. When I went inside, I was warmly greeted by Ms. Kathy and crew. Ms. Kathy listened about what my wife would want and put together a fantastic arrangement that she loved. As an extra special touch she included "snow berries" to remind us of snowy Illinois, our home. Being a married man requires having a florist, and I have found mine.

Kathy is absolutely amazing!! I had gone to multiple florists & did not find anything remotely close to what Kathy had to offer. As soon as I walked in the store, she met with my mother & I & went over the best possible options for the look & price that I was wanting for my wedding. My flowers were ABSOULTELY BEAUTIFUL!!
