I have been to Southern Springs and these same models are 100 to 110 thousand dollars more than other Dell Webb communities, this is way OVER priced. Spring Hill is OK but traffic is terrible for a smaller town
We have been really pleased with the service and response of everyone involved in this Del Webb community. Lovely surroundings. Can't wait to see the new clubhouse.
I went to the recent showing of the homes a couple of weeks ago. I was absolutely amazed at the lack of design in these homes for the 55+ crowd. I was also absolutely appalled that they would try to sell a senior a 1235 square foot home for $235K. That is $190 a square foot and it did not include the land or options. All in all I am truly dissatisfied with this Del Webb project and all I can do is forewarn others about it. Sometimes when individuals get older they may become disabled. If that were to happen and the individual needed a wheel chair and they were living in any of the homes displayed well they would either have to do some form of remodeling or move. There is no way any of the bathrooms have any wheelchair accessibility both for the showers and the commodes. Furthermore these homes are way overpriced for the area. Spring Hill is a nice community but for what Del Webb and Pulte wants for these homes PLUS land and options you be better to go to a different development because your buck will go a lot farther. Granted you lose all the activities at a Del Webb community but then you can always join the local senior chapter in that area and get those things and more. All in all I was both disgusted and in shock that Del Webb would try to take advantage of 55+ adults with exorbitant pricing and poorly designed homes. Do your homework people. Check out the complaints with Del Webb and especially Pulte homes on line. You might be shocked. The only reason I give them 1 star is because I cannot give them a minus rating. If I could it would be a - (minus) 10
Everything in Southern Springs seems to have a lot of thought that went into it. The entrance is maybe the best looking one in Spring Hill and they installed a nice new traffic light and turn lane before anyone has even moved in. The view of Oaklawn is pretty amazing - i hope it always stays there. The models are nicely done. More of the upgrades are included than some of the other Del Webbs. There are a lot of different ways to layout the each of the homes and there's a lot of ways to incorporate outdoor living. The amenities are like a resort. And everyone is very nice. The staff and especially the residents who are getting together for all kinds of fun stuff. Really a unique community.
