My husband and I took our baby here. Her pediatrician at our home clinic refered her. She had an appointment with dr. Jessica duis. Got called back to our room very quickly but had to wait nearly an hour for dr. Duis to come in. She was very kind and calm but very determined our baby had something wrong. A nurse tried to draw blood to test for chromosome disorders. Our baby's veins were to small. What i want to say is a mother knows her baby best! I never thought anything was wrong with our baby. Just because she doesn't hit her milestones on target. She goes to physical therapy and speech therapy. She has low muscle tone. I tried to tell dr. Duis that but I feel like she didn't care. Dr. Duis told us certain features our baby had concerned her. Lines under her eyes and both her middle toes were overlapped. Both my husband and i have deep set eyes and lines. Her PT says her toes will correct themselves when she walks. Every baby does things different! If your reading this and are concerned about your child's milestones and development please don't stress yourself to tears. Doctors can scare you! My child is 23 months and is just starting to walk. Her PT says she is just very careful and thinks things thru. She does have a little weakness but is getting stronger every day!
