The fried rice was lukewarm AT BEST, and had a texture which my brother referred to as "rubbery." I mention this because he will literally eat anything, and even he thought it sucked.
Went through the drivethru. Was 30minutes before I got to the order screen (there were only 2 cars in front of me), 15 more minutes before I got to the window after ordering, paid and was told to go wait in a parking spot in front and my order would be brought out to me. Waited another 20 minutes (been there over an hour at this point) as I watched people enter and exit with food that they were ordering inside.
I went inside to ask for my food. All employees looked confusedly at my receipt. My order still wasn't ready. Asked for my money back and they told me they had to call a different manager on the phone to approve my money being put back on my card. Finally got my food made an hour and a half after I arrived. And never got my money back.
My eggroll was the equivalent of a greasy paper towel wrapped around what I think was a chicken at some point. Flavorless, cold, soggy, and unpleasant.
The noodles were a bit dry or over cooked and they were scraping the bottom of the rice pan... tables were clean and staff was friendly.
Wow, talk about a disappointing experience. It nearly took us 10 minutes before we could order our food.
I was offered a free drink.
My orange chicken was the only salvageable part of my meal. Even so, it's pretty hard to screw up orange chicken. However, despite the fact it was freshly made, (literally not in the serving bowl when I entered the restaurant) even THAT wasn't warm.
Flavorless food. I remember when Panda Express first became a popular brand and they served huge portions; always cooked to tasty perfection. Now, when you eat here, the food reflects the status of this chain: corporate and soulless.
Great food. We have been here probably a 100 times ALWAYS good food. Always clean and such a nice staff. I can't understand some negative reviews here. I think it's a great fast food restaurant Chinese style!
Normally I wouldn't care THAT much about something like this, but the fact that my meal alone was SEVEN DOLLARS (without the drink) is an absolute joke. If any of you readers need a restaurant in the area worth eating at, go to the O'Charley's next door. Overall, my meal at Porcelain Express will probably taste better coming out than it did going in.
